adi 'Kruti
|
ADIRE formed a group adi'Kruti in June 2005 with the unemployed girls and women of JABAKA villages. Some of the members of this group were skilled tailors and adept in hand embroidery. But due to lack of opportunity and business in the village they were not able to make enough money through tailoring. adi'Kruti was formed with the objective of generating regular income for the village women, reinforcing the available local skills with ethnic and modern designs for making women apparels and home furnishings. The apparels displayed here for sale are mostly cotton handloom fabrics from India, designed, stitched and hand embroidered by the women of JABAKA villages.Click here >to see some samples of homefurnishings. Online ordering for these items is soon going to be available. In the mean time if you are interested in any of these displayed items, please email us with the "item id." at adikruti@adire.org |
